Barry Dean

Barry works with a range of law firms both in this country and overseas in North America and Africa. He works with a wide variety of people ranging from chief executives and managing partners through department directors/practice area leaders to those at the rock face engaged in service delivery. He has helped clients to develop and implement knowledge management, professional development and e-learning strategies. He has also reviewed and advised them on improving current systems and processes in these areas.

He has experience in creating and delivering bespoke training and development programmes. He is currently involved in research on the market for legal services for one of the major providers of legal education and training for solicitors and barristers. Much of his work has been concerned with clients undergoing major change.

  • B.Com LLB (University of Cape Town) and PhD (King’s College, University of London) (1959-168)

Interests

Barry reads widely, walks and swims in Devon, enjoys his grandchildren and is heavily involved in maintaining the olive groves at his wife’s house in Puglia in the south of Italy. He is currently trying to learn Italian.
